Biodiversity

The Convention on Biological Diversity states that the loss of biodiversity should be halted. De European Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) is one of the instruments which can be used to reach this goal on the North Sea. Scientists of MARES also investigate biodiversity in other areas, such as the Wadden Sea, the BES islands and Antarctica.
